La masia de Can Colom és una masia catalana tradicional del segle XVIII i XIX que ha sobreviscut dins el nucli urbà de l'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
La intervenció de rehabilitació va ser d’una banda el manteniment del seu aspecte formal i de l’altra l'adaptació al nou ús de centre social i cultural.
La plaça on es troba ubicada actua com un espai públic que serveix per a la convivència dels blocs d'apartaments i cases rurals restaurades que l'envolten.
La rehabilitació pren la crugia original del primer edifici per convertir-la en un gran espai d’entrada. Els espais restants s'utilitzen per a la resta de dependències funcionals.
Exteriorment es va recuperar la façana original destacant només uns pocs forats nous per comprendre millor el nou ús.
The Can Colom farmhouse is a traditional Catalan farmhouse from the 18th and 19th centuries that has survived in the town of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
The rehabilitation intervention was on the one hand the maintenance of its formal aspect and on the other the adaptation to the new use of social and cultural center.
The square where it is located acts as a public space that serves for the coexistence of the blocks of apartments and restored rural houses that surround it.
The refurbishment takes the original moat of the first building into a large entrance space. The remaining spaces are used for the rest of the functional dependencies.
Externally, the original façade was recovered, highlighting only a few new holes to better understand the new use.
