"La Nau”, espai jove i de creació a Barberà del Vallès, neix a partir de la reforma interior d’una nau industrial, que es transforma en equipament cultural. L’espai promou activitats de creació i difusió artística, concerts, i activitats de lleure i formació per als joves.
La proposta aprofita les virtuts de la nau existent com a espai cobert, ben il.luminat, polivalent i primera pell protectora de grans dimensions, idoni per a acollir activitats múltiples, i crea a l’interior una segona i més petita envolvent de caixa de fusta per desenvolupar les activitats concretes que necessiten aïllament tèrmic i acústic com tallers, aules i bucs d’assaig.
L’estructura de la de nau manté el seu estat inicial, amb la traça de pintures i acabats de reformes anteriors. El desnivell existent entre l’accés i la planta baixa de la Nau permet crear un gran vestíbul a manera de balcó sobre la resta de l’espai utilitzable per espectacles i activitats de diferents formats .
La nova caixa construïda a l’interior a partir d’una estructura metàl.lica i parets de tancament de fusta es mostra com una nova façana abocada sobre aquest gran buit interior.
"La Nau", a young and creative space in Barberà del Vallès, is the result of the internal reform of an industrial warehouse, which has been transformed into a cultural centre. The space promotes artistic creation and diffusion activities, concerts, and recreational and training activities for young people.
The proposal uses the elements of the original warehouse as an indoor space, well-lit, multipurpose and the first protective skin of large dimensions, ideal for hosting multiple activities, and creates a second and smaller box that hosts those specific activities that need thermal and acoustic insulation such as workshops and training sessions.
The warehouse structure keeps its initial condition, with the trace of paintings and finishes of previous reforms. The gap between the entrance and the ground floor of the building allows for the creation of a large hall as a balcony over the rest of the space, which can be used for different purposes and activities.
The new box built inside from a metal structure and whip tank walls is shown with a new facade on this great interior bouyard.
